Young Lawyers

Young Lawyers

The Young Lawyers Sub-Committee provides an opportunity for young lawyers in the St George Sutherland area to network with other young lawyers to create the vital support network that every solicitor should have to help them in their day to day practice. Starting out in the legal profession, particularly in small, suburban firms, can be an overwhelming and daunting experience for young lawyers. We hold events every 3 months which aim to provide young lawyers with an opportunity to get to know other young lawyers in the area who they can call upon when they have a question they may not be able to ask their supervising solicitor, or to debrief with about a certain matter or experience they have had that they cannot talk to their family or friends about. Our events include networking nights at a local bar, CPD events on issues relevant to young lawyers as well as health and wellbeing activities.

Our meetings are held at a variety of local venues as we try to best accommodate the location of all our members and we release the details of our next meeting generally one month in advance.
Our meetings are participant driven, and conducted casually and produce fabulous legal discussions.
