You are welcome to apply to join our law society if you are a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and reside or work in the St George-Sutherland Shire area or if you are studying law or have completed a law course and are not yet working.

We have recently introduced student membership and pride ourselves on creating opportunities through networking for our youngest of members.

Fees
Membership Type*
- Ordinary Member - Principal ($100AUD per year). A solicitor holding a practising certificate and practising in the region. Includes Directors of Solicitor Corporations
- Ordinary Member - Employed ($70AUD per year). A solicitor holding a practising certificate and practising in the region, or a solicitor holding a practising certificate who is resident in the region but does not practise in the region.
- Associate Member ($35AUD per year). At the discretion of the committee. A person - not a solicitor - employed by an ordinary member.
- Emeritus Member ($35AUD per year). At the discretion of the committee. A person 'Who has been an ordinary and/or a resident member and who voluntarily retired from practice or has ceased to practise due to ill health or otherwise'.
- Firm Membership - Membership of seven or less persons ($400AUD per year). All principals, solicitors, resident solicitors and associates (if accepted) of an individual firm or solicitors' corporation.
- Firm Membership - Membership of more than seven persons ($500AUD per year). All principals, solicitors, resident solicitors and associates (if accepted) of an individual firm or solicitors' corporation.
- Student Members ($20AUD per year). At the discretion of the committee. Any person who is studying law, or who has successfully completed a course in law, at any university, college or institution in New South Wales recognized by the Legal Profession Admission Board and who signifies an intention to practise as a solicitor and who is not eligible to become a member under any other category of membership.
